Anigozanthos Flavidus or better known as ‘Kangaroo paw,’ are flowering plants that resemble the paws of kangaroos. They come in colours of deep pink, red, light pink, pearly pink, and even a combination of red and green. Although I have managed to get shots of three different colours, I never fail to marvel at how much the flowers look very much like real kangaroo paws. I’ve added an image of a kangaroo with her Joey, to give you an idea.

It’s not only children who grow, parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can tell my children to reach for the sun, but I must reach for it myself. ~ Joyce Maynard
